Treatment Options: Holmium Laser Enucleation Surgery (HoLEP)
HoLEP is similar to the HoLAP procedure, the main difference is that this type of surgical procedure is typically performed on larger prostates, instead of ablating the tissue, the laser precisely cuts a portion of the prostate, which is then cut into smaller pieces and then flushed with irrigation fluid. Like with the HoLAP procedure there is very little if any bleeding during or after the procedure and recovery time is short.
